Chicago Weekend

It was a cold and of course windy weekend in Chicago. View from the Shedd Aquarium.

We drove down to the small town of Harvard, IL (which is just over the border from Wisconsin)
and hopped on to the train to Chicago. It's a nice way to avoid driving and parking in downtown Chicago.



The only downside is that it takes 2 hours, which really tests my patience.

Dinner at Ed Debevics.
The service was terrible! The waitress just tossed handfuls of straws and napkins on me!

We rode the bus to the Shedd Aquarium (Sat.) and the Field Museum (Sun).

The Shedd Aquarium was nice, but very crowded.

I really liked the Field Musuem. I want to grow up to be a Paleontologist.

I love dinosaur bones! Here is Sue's big head.

The lights will be dimmed soon to watch a 3D Dinosaur movie.

Ice Skating

Today, I tried ice skating for the first time. We went to the Vilas Park Lagoon. Skating is fun, but very challenging. My ultimate goal is to skate for the Badgers.
Standing is easy.
Getting to your feet is hard.

Moving (or actually skating) is difficult.

Christmas Review

2009 was a wild Christmas season. We moved around a lot. We visited a lot of family and friends. Here are some of my favorite pictures.
First stop was the Holidazzle Parade in Minneapolis.

My gift to Auntie Lisa was a drawing of a virus. She really appreciates these kind of presents.
Auntie Lisa got wind that I wanted to grow up to be a paleontologist. She got me a clay brick that I have to chip and brush to get to dinosaur bones.

Christmas Eve I put out cookies and milk for Santa Claus and apples for the reindeer. Check out my new SpongeBob pajamas.
Christmas morning! The wait is over!
